Adobe Illustrator is one of
the most powerful vector based software available to graphic designers,
illustrators and digital artists. Some of the practical
applications of the software include: digital art and illustration,
poster design, business card design, pattern design, and any 2D design.
Primarily a tutorial based learning environment, you will be guided
through the various aspects of the software, from basic concepts to more
advanced techniques. The topics covered in the lessons are as
follows:

Selecting and Aligning
Creating Shapes
Transforming Objects
Drawing with the Pen Tool
Using Colors
Working with placed images
How to use typographic elements
Working with Layers
Gradient Mesh and Gradients
Creating patterns

Graphic Styles and Effects
Preparing files for the web and print
Upon completion of this course you will have gained an in-depth
practical knowledge of the software Adobe illustrator, which will
empower you to create digital art, design and illustration on your
computer.

Tuition payment for the Winter Session will take place on Saturday and
Sunday, February 7th and 8th, 2009,
at the ELC Learning Annex between 10:00 a.m.
and 1:00 p.m..
