Stephanie Clift
Applied Interior Design

Stephanie Clift is a senior designer at the world renowned Duncan & Miller Design Firm, where she overseas a staff of more than 70 interior designers and decorators and currently holds the unique distinction of being in charge of interior design for what will be, upon completion, the largest building in the entire world, housing four 5-star hotels, a casino, shopping malls, and much more.  Stephanie's career has been a wondrous journey through the design field, beginning as a fashion designer, she quickly rose through the ranks as a stylist and wardrobe designer for TV and film, subsequently becoming an art director and commercial line producer working on literally hundreds of commercials and country music videos.  It was then that Stephanie discovered her true passion for designing furniture, which began as a pastime for herself and friends and before long developed into a full-blown furniture line being sold commercially at the prestigious Hargett Showrooms in the U.S..  The transition from fashion to interior design was now complete, as Stephanie was working full time designing and promoting her own furniture line.  At this point, she decided to go back to school for a "second education", pursuing advanced studies in interior design, which were then followed by coveted appointments at Vision Design and then Duncan & Miller, a segment of her career that has already spanned over 10 years.  Her positions in these world-class design firms have enabled her to work on some of the most prestigious projects on earth, including boutique and five star hotels, residential, commercial, retail and restaurant spaces, such as New York City's '21' Club, arguably the most exclusive restaurant in Manhattan.  Stephanie's position at Duncan Miller affords her the truly rare opportunity of not just following trends, but actually setting them, as her designs are realized at some of the world's leading hotels and resorts, residential communities, and commercial spaces throughout the US, Caribbean, Europe, and Asia, for such clients as Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the Hotel Crescent Court, the Mansion on Turtle Creek & Little Dix Bay, the Orient Express project including La Samana, French West Indies; both the Mandarin Oriental and the Marriott, Grand Cayman as well as Resorts in Keystone, Colorado and the Hilton Convention Center in Orlando, Florida -- and not the least of which is her current project, the largest construction project in the world at this time, Parcels 5 & 6, Cotai Strip in Macau, owned by The Venetian Resort and Casino conglomerate, for which Stephanie is currently engaged in overseeing the design for the private Paiza Palace High Roller Club as well as the Paiza Suites, Sky Chi Spa in Shangri-La hotel, as well as over 750,000 square meters of meeting and ballroom space.  Stephanie has graciously accepted our invitation to teach classes part time at the Expat Learning Center in the hopes that "it will help her to relax a bit" in her spare time.  We warmly welcome her to the ELC team!
